HoCoLo was never meant to be only a store.

 

Every hoodie, cap, and mug we sell exists to fund something bigger — and, just as importantly, to let us show up in person for children who need it. We don't just write cheques and walk away.

 

We teach, we build relationships, and we keep coming back.

Here's the work behind the brand.

Sneha Sadan — where we show up

​

Sneha Sadan is a home in Mumbai for children who have come from the streets. It's the heart of our hands-on work, and the place we keep returning to.

​

Over roughly fifteen sessions, we taught the children there to code — using Scratch to build their own games and tell their own stories.

 

The goal was never to turn them into programmers.

 

It was to give them a way to think, to create, and to see what they're capable of.

 

We came back week after week, the same faces each time, because consistency is what actually matters to kids who haven't always had it. Not one of them dropped out.

​

And we didn't only bring laptops. We brought what was needed — clothes, school bags, stationery, board games, toys, sports equipment, and small STEM kits — and, more than any of that, our time.

​

Somewhere along the way, the sessions stopped feeling like a project and started feeling like a friendship.

​

What's next: we're now expanding this into something new — a hands-on CAD and 3D-printing program, where the children design real objects of their own.

 

The best designs become products right here on hocolo.store, and every rupee of profit goes straight back to Sneha Sadan. So the children aren't just learning a skill; they're creating something the world can actually buy.

₹25,000 to keep kids learning

​

Early on, we put our money where our mission is. We donated ₹25,000 — earned entirely from product sales, not outside funding — to the Bombay to Barcelona Library Café, a social enterprise that supports street-connected children through education, books, and a genuine path forward.

​

For us, it was proof of the whole idea: that a youth-led store, run by two kids, could turn everyday purchases into something that truly helps.

 

Telling the story

Good work is worth sharing — not to boast, but to bring more people in.

 

We presented HoCoLo to a Rotary Club in Mumbai: our story, our model, and everything we'd done so far.

 

We've pitched to our entire grade, spread the word among friends and classmates, and picked up 2 back-to-back service awards at school along the way.

​

Every one of those conversations is a chance to show that you don't have to be an adult to make something real happen.

The store is the engine

​

None of this works without the store. Every product we design and sell turns directly into funding and supplies for the work above. We started in rupees for a local audience and have since opened up to a global one — because the bigger the store grows, the more we can give back.

​

Where it began, where it's going

HoCoLo started with our own story. We were both born prematurely at 31 weeks and spent our first 45 days in a NICU.

 

The care we received in those early days is the reason we're here at all — and supporting neonatal care remains our long-term north star.

​

For now, our focus is where we can help most urgently and most directly: education, opportunity, and showing up for children who deserve both.

That's the work. Hope. Courage. Love. — turned into something real.
